What does it take to be good at making music? Honestly, I have no idea. Although, I know one thing that will keep you bad, lazyness.
I can't even comprehend how long Ive owned Ableton Live, yet ive never done anything with it. Ive made 8 bar loops, even 16 bar loops, but a full song? Well, if you cound a 1 to 2 minute track full of loops, then sure. But if 10 or 15 of those is all you've done in a decade, I can assure you it doesn't can't for anything.
Neither does 10 years of watching youtube videos with 0 practice.
This is where I am hoping to change everything. I'm going to actually put in some work. I would say all of the work, but ive already made 2 songs, and I know that I'm willing to cut corners. Unfortunate, but true.
It's not all bad though, theres some saying about perfect being the enemy of something less than perfect, so ive got that going for me.
